Exchange Program Description: Assessment plays a life changing role for test takers, yet, even the most meticulously designed tests are not immune to the subtle undercurrents of implicit bias, posing a challenge to equity. Our session aims to illuminate the intricate ways a DEI lens including the use of data analytics can uncover and address these biases, paving the way for truly inclusive testing. We will have an insightful and engaging discussion on how to recognize and mitigate the risks of bias in testing, and better understand the best approach to developing an inclusive testing framework that shows an understanding of developing an equitable experience for all test takers.
