I.C.E. Exchange Program Description: In this session, a panel of experts with over 80 years of combined accreditation experience (as commissioners, assessors, applicants, accredited entities, and consultants) will discuss what is allowable by the NCCA and ISO 17024 standards. They’ll tackle the top questions they hear from potential and current applicants for accreditation in four categories: Governance, Training, Scheme/Test Development and Analysis, and Test Delivery.

The categories and examples of questions discussed include (but are not limited to):

Governance: Can we use the governing body to handle appeals? Can we have the same members on the certification board as the association board?

Training: Can we offer and promote our own test prep? Can we use the same SMEs for test development and practice test development?

Scheme/Test Development and Analysis: Can we grandfather in SMEs? Can our job/task analysis be used as a scheme?

Test Delivery: Can we use “record and review” for test delivery? Can we use the same form for brick-and-mortar testing and online proctoring?

The session will then be turned over for audience members to ask their own, “Can we…?” questions of the panel.
