Julia Judish is Special Counsel at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, practicing in the areas of nonprofit governance and employment law. She regularly advises certification organizations on legal compliance, credentialing, governance, ethics and disciplinary codes, ADA accessibility, DEI initiatives, employment issues, fiduciary duties, and related areas. She also serves as a legal advisor to the Professional Certification Coalition (PCC), a national coalition of certification organizations and professional societies. Judish writes and speaks extensively on nonprofit legal issues; she co-authored the Due Process and ADA chapters of the Certification and Accreditation Law Handbook (3rd ed.), and the Certification Law chapter of the ICE Handbook (3rd ed.). She has received multiple honors for excellence in legal services, including recognition in Lawdragon’s Guide to the 500 Leading U.S. Corporate Employment Lawyers (2022). She earned a B.A. with high honors from Swarthmore College, an M.A. from Brown University, and a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School.
