Houston We Have Liftoff: Beyond the Launch of a Credential

In this session, we’ll leverage what we learned after launching the ICE-CCP certification to discuss the challenges faced by programs seeking to grow in the early years of their existence. Using the ICE-CCP® program to kickstart the conversation, participants will hear from credential holders about what motivated them to earn the credential and learn about the performance of the ICE-CCP exam during its first three years of administration. Then, utilizing the popular roundtable format, participants will discuss topics, such as the Certification Preparation Firewall, Credential Maintenance, Value of Certification, and Psychometric Considerations with peers. Bring your questions and be prepared to share your experiences and challenges from your own program.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn the rationales for decisions made about the ICE-CCP as it moves beyond its introduction, including relevant performance measures, that may be applicable to your own program
  • Hear from some of those who earned the credential about the reasons they chose to pursue it
  • Share experiences in small groups on a variety of topics that challenge programs seeking to grow
