I.C.E. Exchange Program Description: Join us for an insightful session as we delve into the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB)’s experience of translating our flagship exam into Spanish. As the demand for qualified professionals grows, so does the need for inclusivity and accessibility within our respective fields. This session will provide a comprehensive overview of the translation process, offering valuable insights from exam development, administration, and operations perspectives.

We will share information about our process, including the challenges encountered and the invaluable lessons learned. From initial conceptualization to final implementation, we will highlight the collaborative efforts of subject matter experts, linguists, and stakeholders in ensuring accuracy and fairness.

Attendees will learn how DANB successfully integrated the Spanish version into its existing infrastructure and will leave with actionable insights and best practices for developing and administering translated exams in their own organizations, which are designed to meet NCCA requirements for Standards 16 EE B; and 20 EE C.
